Workshop Description

DPA is excited to offer a quarterly consultation hour focusing on Diversity, Ethics, and Inclusion, exclusively for our members.

Learning Opportunities

• Consult on clinical cases regarding diversity issues
• Practice having conversations around multicultural issues
• Increase awareness of potential blind spots in a warm and encouraging space
• Foster community and connection with one another

Accreditation Statement

Psychologists - This activity qualifies for 1.0 hour of professional development credit in the area of diversity for Texas Psychologists. Dallas Psychological Association, Inc. (DPA) maintains responsibility for the program and its content as per TSBEP rule 461.11(c)(2)(A). Counselors - This activity consists of 1.0 clock hour of continuing education instruction in the area of diversity. DPA activities meet the continuing education requirements as outlined in Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors rule 681.142. Social Workers - This activity consists of 1.0 clock hour of continuing education instruction in the area of diversity. DPA activities meet the continuing education requirements as outlined in Texas State Board of Examiners of Social Workers rules 781.509 and 781.511(a)-(c). Marriage and Family Therapists - This activity consists of 1.0 clock hour of continuing education instruction in the area of diversity. DPA activities meet the continuing education requirements as outlined in Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists rule 801.264. For all license categories, full attendance is required; no partial credits will be offered for partial attendance. Please retain the certificate of completion and use as proof of completion when required.
