Position Description

This one-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Private Practice is intended to provide the postdoctoral fellow with a coordinated opportunity for direct clinical service (intake assessment, treatment planning, intervention), regular professional supervision, and ongoing professional development activities (both designated and self-directed). The postdoctoral fellow will receive clinical opportunities and supervision enabling him/her to gain expertise in practicing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with children and adolescents struggling with Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, OCD, and a variety of emotional/behavioral concerns. Additionally, the fellow will receive extensive training in individual and group-based Parent Consultation for concerns related to a variety of emotional and behavioral difficulties.

 

Compensation

The accepted applicant will become an employee of Therapy Dallas; compensation structure may be salaried or commission-based. Compensation will be discussed at the time of interview and will be commensurate with national, competitive postdoctoral fellowships. Start Date and Duration This fellowship is intended to commence August/September 2022, with flexibility to begin sooner. The opportunity to extend to a two-year fellowship (and/or accept a long-term position with the practice following fellowship) can be discussed during interview and throughout fellowship.

 

Practice Description

Therapy Dallas is a group practice offering coordinated and comprehensive psychological services for children, adolescents, and adults in the Dallas area. The postdoctoral fellow will work under the supervision of Kristen M. Ohlenforst, PhD and Sarah E. Horton, PhD, and alongside licensed clinicians and one additional fellow who collectively provide individual psychotherapy (CBT and play-based), parent consultation, group therapy, and couples and family therapy.
