Dr. Ohlenforst specializes in evidence-based intervention for children, adolescents, and adults struggling with Anxiety Disorders, and in Parent Consultation for parents of children with ADHD and various emotional/behavioral difficulties. She and her associates at Therapy Dallas provide coordinated individual and family-based intervention to support families with a variety of therapeutic needs.
Throughout her doctoral training at UT Southwestern Medical Center and her postdoctoral training at Stanford School of Medicine's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic, she has enjoyed the opportunity to work in diverse therapeutic settings, with a wide variety of diagnoses, and in close collaboration with psychiatrists, physicians, teachers, and family members. She serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and as volunteer Dallas Clinical Director of A Home Within, a national nonprofit coordinating provision of pro-bono outpatient psychotherapy to current and former foster youth. Dr. Ohlenforst is the co-author of a therapeutic children's picture book teaching playful strategies to manage childhood anxiety and enjoys presenting on topics related to healthy child/adolescent development.
