Dr. Kenneth Wise is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Frisco, Texas. Dr. Wise received the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology from Baylor University in August, 1995. He completed his internship training at Terrell State Hospital and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he is currently an adjunct clinical assistant Professor of Psychology. Dr. Wise supervises Ph.D. students in their clinical training and professional development. Dr. Wise served as the 2010-2011 President of the Dallas Psychological Association (DPA).
Dr. Wise has been working professionally in the mental health field since 1987 and has over 30 years of clinical experience. He has been licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Texas since 1997. Dr. Wise has a diverse and thriving practice with specialization and concentrations in the areas of psychotherapy for anxiety and depression, adjustment and relationship issues, health psychology, pain management, divorce issues, and career and life transitions.
Dr. Wise also specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional disorders. His clinical work with children has included working as a mental health consultant for the Head Start program. Past internships include the Child and Adolescent Unit at Terrell State Hospital, the Child Psychiatry Clinic at U.T. Southwestern Medical Center, and the Baylor University Counseling Center. Dr. Wise works closely with parents, students, and faculty of public and private schools throughout the DFW area.
