Mary Kight, PhD, CRC
I work with adults who are struggling as they face life's difficult challenges. Many have health problems, chronic pain, loss of vision, or terminal illness. Some have depression or anxiety. Others may be searching for a new career or grieving a loss. I help clients identify their strengths and weaknesses and work toward achieving their goals despite life's difficult challenges. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they are in the most difficult time of their lives. I help clients find hope and envision how they can move forward despite unforeseen changes in their lives.
I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), assisting with issues related to adjusting to a health problem. It is common for individuals with health problems to undergo changes in self-esteem, career, family relationships, social relationships, identity, and spirituality. I help people navigate these changes and find hope as they adjust to their "new normal."
Although I see clients in my office, I also provide confidential videocounseling to residents of Texas through www.Breakthrough.com. Through Breakthrough, you can stay in the comfort of your own home and access counseling during evening and weekend hours. I am happy to answer your questions and help you decide if my services are a good fit for you.
