Kay Hale, PhD is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1968, his master’s degree from the University of North Texas in 1972, and his PhD from the University of North Texas in 1979. He was also a student in the Dallas Group Psychotherapy Training Program from 1982 to 1984. Dr. Hale began a solo practice in 1984, specializing in individual, group, and couples therapy as well as psychological evaluations. He has been a dedicated member of the Dallas Psychological Association since 1979 and served as President during the 1994–1995 term.
Juli Hobdy, PhD is a licensed psychologist whose career has focused on college mental health and the training and supervision of interns and postdoctoral fellows within university counseling centers. She served for 23 years as Associate Director and Director of Training at Southern Methodist University Counseling Services in Dallas, Texas. During that time, she also served as an Adjunct Faculty member and Clinical Site Training Director in the Clinical Psychology program at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She has taught in the Postgraduate Program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Dallas Psychoanalytic Center and has been an invited speaker for multiple professional organizations. Dr. Hobdy maintains a private practice providing individual psychotherapy to adults.
Michael C. Gottlieb, PhD practices forensic psychology in Dallas. He is Board Certified in Family Psychology (ABPP) and is a Fellow of the American Psychology/Law Society as well as four other divisions of APA. He is a Clinical Professor at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he teaches professional ethics and has completed terms on the American Psychological Association Ethics Committee and its Committee on Professional Practice and Standards. He has written or co-written over eighty peer reviewed articles and book chapters, and sits on the editorial board of four scholarly journals.
Carmen Cruz, PsyD (she/her) is a Licensed Psychologist and Educator and currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. For 26 years, she served in multiple roles at Texas Woman’s University Counseling and Psychological Services, including Training Director of the APA-accredited doctoral internship program. Her professional interests include multicultural psychology, gender and sexuality, existential therapy, cultural and spiritual development, and the impact of stigma on help-seeking.
Andy McGarrahan, PhD is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and graduate of UTSW in 2000. He has worked at Children's Health since 1999. He has worked at the Center for Pediatric Eating Disorders at Children's Health for the last 13 years. He has also had a private practice since 2002. He and his wife Forensic Psychologist, Dr. Toni McGarrahan are the parents of twins Patrick and Nina who both graduated from college last year.
Ally Wade, PhD is a licensed psychologist and owner of Dallas Mental Health and Performance, PLLC. She is licensed in Texas and New York and is a PSYPACT provider. Prior to private practice, she served as Director of Mental Health for Southern Methodist University Athletics. She is listed on several professional sport and performance registries and serves on the Dallas Mavericks’ Wellness Team. Her clinical specialties include life transitions, trauma, perfectionism, anxiety disorders, and performance-related concerns.
Kevin Lambert, PsyD is a Texas licensed psychologist with a sincere passion for developing others and fostering healthier and happier relationships. Dr. Lambert’s unique style of intervention has been described by clients as genuine, warm, respectful, innovative, fun, enlightening, and appropriately challenging. He completed his MA and PsyD degrees in Clinical Psychology at Spalding University in 2003 and 2006. His professional experience includes a predoctoral fellowship at Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers, an informal postdoctoral fellowship at Southern Methodist University, and nearly a decade as a senior staff member and supervisor. In 2012, he founded Lambert Psychology, which later became Great Life Counseling Center. He has served on the executive committee of the Dallas Psychological Association and was awarded Distinguished Psychologist of the Year by DPA in 2023. His clinical specialties include couples therapy, child and family therapy, life transitions, identity development, and spirituality.
