Guided by this year’s gala theme, Celebrating 70 Years of Impact: Honoring Our Roots while Shaping Our Future, the evening will recognize past DPA leadership, celebrate outstanding achievements within our local psychological community, and highlight the relationships and contributions that continue to strengthen our profession. We are also honored to welcome Dr. Kari Leavell, President of the Texas Psychological Association, who will be attending this special anniversary event.

Wendi S. Williams, PhD, is the President of the American Psychological Association and a nationally respected psychologist, educator, and leader at the intersection of psychology, leadership, and social impact. With more than two decades of experience, her work advances culturally responsive and equity-centered approaches that strengthen individuals, organizations, and communities.
As APA President, Dr. Williams leads with the theme “Radically Well Together,” calling on psychologists to step forward as scientists, practitioners, educators, advocates, and leaders in promoting collective wellness. An accomplished author and scholar, she has shaped conversations on leadership, equity, and psychological well-being through influential books and research.
DPA is honored to welcome Dr. Williams as the keynote speaker for our 70th Anniversary Gala, bringing vision, inspiration, and national leadership to this milestone celebration.

As part of our 70th Anniversary celebration, we are pleased to offer an optional Presidential Meet and Greet prior to the Gala. This exclusive add-on provides guests the opportunity to connect in a more intimate setting with Dr. Wendi Williams, President of the American Psychological Association; Dr. Kari Leavell, President of the Texas Psychological Association; and Dr. Rupa Naidu, President of the Dallas Psychological Association.
Gala attendees may add the Presidential Meet and Greet to their registration for this special opportunity to engage with leaders at the national, state, and local levels of our profession. Attendance is limited.
